Translation memory (TM) is a database of source and target language segment pairs derived from previous translations. The purpose of a TM is to aid the translator when working on a text. However, a translation memory can be also integrated into a CAT software to make the result of a machine translation more accurate, thereby facilitating the subsequent process of post-editing.
